Product Positioning
This is the standard answer for customer service when asked “What is YYNote / how is it different from other sticky note or to-do apps?”
One-Sentence Definition
Section titled “One-Sentence Definition”YYNote (commonly known in Chinese as 小黄条) is a cross-platform desktop + mobile sticky note and to-do management app that helps users quickly jot down content, manage to-do items, sync data across devices, and embed to-dos, sticky notes, desktop calendars, weather, and time into the Windows desktop.
“YYNote” is the English product name, while “小黄条” is the common Chinese name (derived from the app’s theme color and the visual impression of sticky notes). Both refer to the same product. This documentation uniformly uses “YYNote.”

Boundaries and Limitations
Section titled “Boundaries and Limitations”This section only lists limitations verified through the UI. If customer service is asked about boundary issues not listed here, please consult Common Confusion Points or the corresponding platform UI documentation — do not answer based on impressions.
- Login is required: Without login, a login dialog pops up immediately. There is no anonymous local mode
- Deletion is permanent (the UI explicitly warns “cannot be recovered after deletion”), there is no trash/recycle bin; the only remedy is to export deleted records via the PC client before deletion (generates a
小黄条已删除记录YYYYMMDD.xlsxbackup file on the desktop) - Third-party calendars have two layers:
- Calendar itself (subscription source): Can be added, deleted, modified, and viewed within YYNote
- Calendar events (individual event entries): View-only, cannot be edited (edit in the original calendar service)
- Third-party calendar sync and local notifications are available during the active membership period
- Membership status (consistent across all platforms):
- Get 7-day membership upon registration, try all features of YYNote
- Membership has no quantity limits
- After membership expires, data is retained, account remains active, and all data can be exported via the PC client
- Sync conflict strategy: Later-saved data overwrites earlier-saved data; data with uncommitted local modifications will not be overwritten during merging
- Lunar calendar display: An optional feature — users can choose whether to show lunar dates in the calendar view via settings
- Unsupported features:
- Sticky notes/to-dos do not support image/file attachments (plain text only)
- YYNote is not an instant messaging tool (no user-to-user chat functionality)
- No trash/recycle bin (deleted content cannot be recovered within the product)
- Anonymous use is not supported (not logged in = cannot use)
