Data Missing After Login

After logging in, you find that your membership info, tasks (todos), sticky notes, and calendar data are all empty.

In most cases, this happens because you logged in with a different account.

YYNote uses a UNID (User Unique Identifier) to bind accounts. The same OAuth login method used on different devices will automatically bind to the same account. However, different login methods (e.g., WeChat vs. QQ) are completely independent accounts — data is not shared between them.

Example:

  • Phone logs in with WeChat → Account A
  • Computer also logs in with WeChat → Still Account A (data syncs)
  • Computer logs in with QQ → Account B (independent account, data not shared with Account A)

YYNote supports the following login methods, each creating a separate account:

  • WeChat
  • QQ
  • Huawei Account
  • Google
  • Apple
  • Microsoft

If you choose different login methods on different devices, you are logging into different accounts.

Method 1: Confirm your previous login method

Section titled “Method 1: Confirm your previous login method”
  1. Recall which login method you used before (WeChat / QQ / Huawei / Google / Apple / Microsoft)
  2. Sign out of the current account
  3. Sign back in using the same login method
  4. Your data should be restored

Method 2: Check if you switched login methods

Section titled “Method 2: Check if you switched login methods”

If you ever switched login methods on a device (e.g., from WeChat to QQ), your data remains in the original account. Check which login method each device uses, and find the correct account to sign in with.

Other Possibility: Database Initialization Failure

Section titled “Other Possibility: Database Initialization Failure”

If your data is still empty after signing in with the correct login method, the local database may have become corrupted after a version upgrade.

Solution:

  • App (Android / iOS / HarmonyOS): Uninstall the app, reinstall, and sign in again
  • PC (Windows): Close the app, open My Documents, find the YYNote folder, and delete it. Then restart the app and sign in

⚠️ Deleting the YYNote folder clears local data only. Your account data is stored in the cloud and will sync back after you sign in.
