Cannot Start / Crashes on Launch / Unexpected Crashes
Section titled “Cannot Start / Crashes on Launch / Unexpected Crashes”Symptom 1: Cannot start after installation or update
Section titled “Symptom 1: Cannot start after installation or update”Cause:
- Older versions are gradually being phased out
- A version upgrade or historical version issue may have left corrupted local data, preventing the program from responding properly
Solution:
- Install the latest version of YYNote
- Open
My Documents, find theYYNotefolder, and delete it - Restart the app
Symptom 2: PC app crashes / unexpected crashes
Section titled “Symptom 2: PC app crashes / unexpected crashes”Cause: Local data has become corrupted, preventing the program from running properly.
Solution:
- Install the latest version of YYNote
- Open
My Documents, find theYYNotefolder, and delete it - Restart the app
What Happens When You Delete the YYNote Folder
Section titled “What Happens When You Delete the YYNote Folder”- Deleted: Local data (cache, settings, etc.) will be lost
- Not affected: Your cloud account data — it will sync back after you sign in again
- Before deleting: Make sure you are signed in with the correct account to avoid logging into the wrong account and losing data
