Desktop Weather
Section titled “Desktop Weather”Overview
Section titled “Overview”Desktop Weather is a transparent floating widget embedded on the Windows desktop, displaying time, date, weather, and lunar calendar information.
Core Features:
- Real-time clock, date, lunar calendar, and day of the week
- Real-time weather overview (current temperature and conditions)
- 7-day weather forecast
- Extreme weather alerts (typhoon, heavy rain, cold wave, etc.)
- Fully transparent plugin that adapts to any desktop wallpaper
- Weather data source: Caiyun Weather API
- Lunar calendar: computed locally (lunar library)
⚠️ The Desktop Weather plugin is Windows only. Android / iOS / HarmonyOS do not support the weather feature.
Display Contents
Section titled “Display Contents”| Content | Description |
|---|---|
| Digital clock | Current time, updated in real time |
| Date | Year, month, day |
| Lunar calendar | Current lunar calendar date |
| Day of week | Current day of the week |
| Weather conditions | Current temperature and weather description |
| 7-day forecast | 7-day weather forecast |
| Extreme weather alerts | Typhoon, heavy rain, cold wave alerts |
Location Setup
Section titled “Location Setup”Weather data is retrieved automatically via the system location API. If the weather fails to display, check your system location permissions:
- Windows: Settings → Privacy & Security → Location → Enable location access
- Android: Settings → Apps → Yellow Note → Permissions → Enable location
- iOS: Settings → Privacy → Location Services → Yellow Note → Enable
- HarmonyOS: Settings → Apps → Yellow Note → Permissions → Enable location
💡 If location is already authorized but still fails, you can manually enter a city name in Settings → Desktop Weather.

Weather Forecast Details
Section titled “Weather Forecast Details”- Real-time weather: Current temperature and weather conditions
- 7-day forecast: Max/min temperatures and weather icons for the next 7 days
- Extreme weather alerts: Automatic push notification when typhoon, heavy rain, cold wave, or other extreme weather is detected
