Weather Location Setup

Setting Up Your Location

Weather data is retrieved automatically via the system location API. No manual input is needed — the plugin detects your location automatically.

Permission Check

If the weather fails to display, verify that Yellow Note has location permission enabled on your device:

Windows:

1. Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Location
2. Ensure Location access is turned on
3. Ensure Yellow Note is allowed to access your location

Android:

1. Open Settings → Apps → Yellow Note
2. Tap Permissions
3. Enable Location

iOS:

1. Open Settings → Privacy → Location Services
2. Ensure Location Services is enabled
3. Find Yellow Note in the list and set to While Using the App

HarmonyOS:

1. Open Settings → Apps → Yellow Note
2. Tap Permissions
3. Enable Location

Manual Fallback

If location is already authorized but auto-detection still fails, you can manually set your city:

1. Open Settings → Desktop Weather
2. Type a city name in the search box
3. Select the correct city from the search results

The weather widget will immediately update to show data for the selected city.

💡 The manual city setting persists until you change it or re-enable auto-detection.
