Desktop Calendar

Overview

The Desktop Calendar is the schedule management module, supporting multiple views for organizing your events and appointments.

Core Features:

• Month, week, day, and schedule list views
• Public holiday markers and weather forecast on the monthly calendar
• Lunar calendar display
• Third-party calendar sync (WeCom, DingTalk, Feishu/Lark, etc.)

Platform Differences:

• Windows — Supports the full Desktop Calendar plugin (month/week/day views + schedule list) and the Schedule List plugin. Both are transparent floating windows embedded into the desktop.
• App (Android / iOS / HarmonyOS) — The bottom Tab provides month and week views (no day view). The home screen supports a Schedule List widget (displays upcoming events). iOS does not support transparency.

Calendar & Weather Display: The full calendar view (month/week/day) and weather forecast are Windows-only features. On the App, monthly/weekly calendar views are available in the main Tab, and the schedule list is available as a home screen widget.

Switching Views: Click the top-right corner of the calendar plugin and select a view type.

Schedule Management

A schedule is a todo with a start and end time. It appears in both the todo list and the calendar.

Ways to Create a Schedule:

1. Directly on the calendar — Click a time slot on the calendar, enter content, and save
2. Convert from a todo — Drag a todo onto the calendar, which automatically sets the start/end time and converts it to a schedule

Convert Todo to Schedule (Quick Planning)

1. On the desktop calendar plugin, expand the todo list on the left sidebar
2. Find the todo you want to schedule
3. Drag the dot handle at the front of the todo onto a specific date/time on the calendar
4. Release — the system automatically sets the start/end time and converts it to a schedule

💡 The left sidebar shows all incomplete todos that do not yet have a start/end time set.

Drag to Reschedule

On the month or week view, drag the edge or body of an event to quickly adjust its start/end time.

⚠️ Drag-to-reschedule is a Windows desktop plugin exclusive feature. It is not supported on the App.

Holidays and Lunar Calendar

The calendar supports:

• Public Holidays — Marked on the monthly calendar
• Lunar Calendar Dates — Displayed alongside the Gregorian date
• Weather Forecast — Shown on the monthly calendar

Settings Path: Expand the left sidebar todo list in the calendar → Click the settings arrow/button → Toggle holidays, lunar calendar, and weather forecast display.

Appearance Settings

The desktop calendar plugin supports customization:

• Opacity: Calendar background transparency
• Background Color: Calendar background color
• Event Colors: Different event sources can have different background colors for easy distinction
• Holidays / Weather / Lunar Calendar: Toggle on/off as needed

Settings Path: Expand the left sidebar todo list → Click the settings arrow/button → Plugin Settings

⚠️ Drag operations on the calendar plugin (drag todo to schedule, drag to reschedule) are Windows-only. On the App, access calendar views directly through the bottom Tab in the main interface.

Calendar Sync

The calendar supports syncing with third-party calendars (WeCom, DingTalk, Feishu/Lark, QQ Mail, etc.). After syncing, events from those calendars appear in Yellow Note’s calendar.
