Auto-Tagging
Auto-Tagging
Section titled “Auto-Tagging”Overview
Section titled “Overview”Auto-tagging automatically applies tags to new todos and sticky notes based on the list (board) they are created in. This is NOT content-based matching — tags are inherited from the list’s filter rules.
When you create an item inside a list, the item automatically inherits all tags defined in that list’s filter rules.
How It Works
Section titled “How It Works”- A list (board) has a tag filter rule configured (e.g., show only items tagged “Work”)
- When you create a new todo or sticky note inside that list, the system automatically applies those tags to the new item
- The item inherits the list’s tags without any manual selection
Example:
| List | Auto-Applied Tags |
|---|---|
| Work List | ”Work” tag |
| Personal List | ”Personal” tag |
When you create a new todo “Meeting at 3 PM” inside the Work List, the system automatically tags it with “Work”. No manual tag selection needed.
