Managing Tags
Managing Tags
Section titled “Managing Tags”Overview
Section titled “Overview”Tags are a cross-module classification system used to categorize todos and sticky notes in YYNote. They are the foundation of how you organize and filter content across the product.
Core Features:
- Create custom tags (e.g., “Work”, “Personal”, “Important”)
- Each todo or sticky note can have multiple tags (many-to-many)
- Tags control what appears in todo lists, sticky note lists, schedule lists, and calendar boards
- Lists (Boards) are tag-based filters — they display items whose tags match the filter rule

Tag Usage Across Modules
Section titled “Tag Usage Across Modules”Tags work across the following modules:
| Module | How Tags Apply |
|---|---|
| Todo List | Filter which todos are displayed based on tag rules |
| Sticky Note List | Filter which sticky notes are displayed based on tag rules |
| Schedule List (PC) | Filter which scheduled items are displayed based on tag rules |
| Calendar View Board (PC) | Filter which calendar items are displayed based on tag rules |
Since tags are many-to-many, a single todo can have “Work” and “Important” tags simultaneously, appearing in both “Work” and “Important” lists.
