Data Sync Guide

YYNote automatically syncs your data to the cloud. After signing in, all data is synced across all your devices automatically.

  • Sync interval: Approximately every 15 minutes (auto-sync)
  • Synced content: Todos, sticky notes, calendar events (including reminders), tags, and lists

All platforms share the same data. Sign in with the same account on any device to sync instantly.

After your first login, data is automatically fetched from the cloud. The sync status is shown above the tray icon on Windows, or indicated in the app interface on mobile.

  1. Check your network connection
  2. Make sure you are logged in with the same account on all devices
  3. Try restarting the app
  4. Verify you are on the latest version

If the steps above do not resolve the issue, a database corruption may have occurred after an upgrade. You will need to rebuild the local database.

If a version upgrade causes local database corruption, follow these steps to rebuild your local data:

App (Android / iOS / HarmonyOS):

  1. Uninstall the app
  2. Reinstall and sign in
  3. Data will automatically sync from the cloud and rebuild the local cache

PC (Windows):

  1. Close the app
  2. Open My Documents, find the YYNote folder, and delete it
  3. Restart the app and sign in
  4. Data will automatically sync from the cloud and rebuild the local data

⚠️ Deleting local data does not affect your cloud data. It will be fully restored after you sign in again — safe to proceed.

If the same content is edited on multiple devices simultaneously, the cloud keeps the last saved version.
