App Operations Guide
Section titled “App Operations Guide”The following instructions apply to the YYNote App (Android / iOS / HarmonyOS), organized by gesture type. PC desktop widget operations differ — see the Desktop Widget Guide.
YYNote App follows intuitive gestures — tap empty space to add, tap content to edit, swipe to reveal actions. Master these gestures and you’ll be able to explore all features naturally.
Tap Empty Space → Add
Section titled “Tap Empty Space → Add”Tap an empty area on any list page to quickly create a new item.

You’ll enter edit mode automatically. Tap the 「Save」 button in the top-right corner when done.
💡 If you’re not sure where to start — just tap any empty space and YYNote will create the right content for the current page.
Tap Content → Edit
Section titled “Tap Content → Edit”Tap existing content to enter edit mode, then tap 「Save」 in the top-right corner.
- Todo: tap the todo text
- Sticky note: tap the note card
- Tag: tap the tag name
Long-Press → More Actions
Section titled “Long-Press → More Actions”Long-press an item to bring up an action menu with all available operations for that item.
Common actions include:
- Complete: Mark a todo as done
- Delete: Remove the item
- Sort: Enter sort mode (see “Drag & Drop Sorting” below)
- Other item-specific options
💡 Long-press is the “universal entry point” — if you’re not sure what you can do with an item, just long-press to find out.
Swipe Left to Right → Archive / Restore

| Archive an item on a list | Swipe right on the item |
| Restore an archived item | Go to archive page, swipe right on the item |
Archive acts as a “holding area” — keep completed items you don’t want to delete yet.
Swipe Right to Left → Pin / Delete
Section titled “Swipe Right to Left → Pin / Delete”Swipe left on an item to reveal action icons:
- Pin / Unpin: Keep the item at the top of the list
- Delete: Remove the item immediately
⚠️ Deletion is irreversible. Please proceed with caution.
Drag & Drop Sorting
Section titled “Drag & Drop Sorting”Long-press an item, then select 「Sort」 from the menu to enter sort mode.
Once in sort mode:
- Drag the sort icon on the right side of each item to reorder
- Tap 「Save Sort」 in the top-right corner when done
This works for:
- Reordering items within a list (todos, sticky notes)
- Reordering the lists themselves (from the list management page)
